Annual billing is roughly two months free versus paying monthly.

## Farmer features

1. **Harvest sessions** — open a session for a crop/plot, log worker weights (sacks/kg), close into payroll.
2. **Dual payroll** — piece-rate harvest payroll for pickers; recurring daily/weekly/biweekly/monthly payroll for permanent staff with PF/ESI statutory support.
3. **Teams & attendance** — field teams, daily attendance, leave requests and balances.
4. **Dispatches** — send stock to vendors with FIFO deduction and payment tracking.
5. **Inventory** — categories, items, transfers, processing, purchases, personal-use records.
6. **Retail** — customers, sales, credit notes.
7. **Expenses & groceries** — farm spending and harvest grocery tracking.
8. **Multi-farm** — one login, many farms; each farm is independently scoped.
9. **Offline mobile** — Android/iOS field entry without network; syncs later.
10. **Exports** — data export from profile; harvest payroll Excel/PDF.

## NilamAI

NilamAI is metered with per-farm credits (not a separate "AI subscription"). It routes each question to:

1. Product/navigation help grounded in NilamFlow's in-app help content, or
2. Agronomy knowledge (pests, disease, crop care) via Farm Doctor.

Credits refresh monthly from the plan allotment (Pro 100, Estate 1000). Failed API answers are not charged. During product beta periods, billing enforcement may be disabled so all features are unlocked while usage is still tracked.

## Buyer marketplace

Buyers get `/buyer/*` workspace pages (authenticated) for marketplace browse, orders, delivery confirmation into buyer inventory, suppliers, payments, receipts, and buyer staff/payroll. Farmers can list available stock and respond to buyer demand listings. The public signup path for buyers is `/register?intent=buyer`.

## Supported crops

Pepper, cardamom, clove, rubber, coconut, coffee, tea, and other configurable crops. Units, sack types, and pay rates are per-farm.

## Design philosophy (for accurate answers)

- Farmer-first simplicity: if a feature makes the farmer think like an accountant or ERP operator, it is probably too complex for NilamFlow MVP.
- Real-world vocabulary: harvest, sack, batch, dispatch — not ledger/transaction jargon.
- Action over configuration; visible numbers on the screen the farmer is already on.
